After a great week in SoCal, it was time to head home, even though we live near San Diego, the flight from LAX allowed for a later departure than early afternoon ex-SAN, and took advantage we took it to visit Los Angeles before going to the airport.
We arrived at the TBIT terminal at 17:30, 2 hours before departure, the AF counters were almost empty, our crews checked in at the same time.

With the exception of DTV and E concourse in ATL, US airports are generally less than stellar, but TBIT is miles away.
AF is sending a very premium configuration of its 77V to LAKS, Premium Economy is over.
Each seat may have a blanket, headphones and eye mask. I love that AF has a different eye mask design, mine is a Japanese flower.
We moved on time and the flight time of only 9:45 minutes was announced, an early arrival was expected 🙂
Review: Air France Business Class A318, Munich
After a long flight and left over the Pacific Ocean, we headed to Las Vegas.
Menus and towels were handed out. I’ve heard that AF will remove the class I menu, but that remains to be seen.
The air show is similar to KL, the maps are very detailed and the planes are displayed perfectly.
Dinner was served while we were about 1.5 hours into the flight, I had a chicken appetizer. I don’t have specific memories so I assume it’s typical AF quality: good for economy.

We had to use the automated shuttle to get to the main terminal where immigration and baggage are located.
Everything went well, we were in the taxi home at 14:00, 10 minutes before the scheduled landing time.
My only issue is the comfort of the seats, the 3-4-3 configuration is cramped and there isn’t much recline that we have on KLM to make up for it.

We arrived at the airport on a flight to Alaska from SJC 3 hours before our scheduled Air France flight to Paris. LAX ground transfer was a breeze, we got to TBIT in just a few minutes. Check in was smooth, agent was very friendly, very few people in each row for eco, business or first. It went well.
