A Nationwide Pools customer says the company hasn’t visited his home in two months, leaving the pool unfinished even though the company is paying $32,000.
Chase decided to build one in his backyard as a gift to his mother, who spent six months in South Florida.
“It started well. Everything went smoothly and we made progress,” he said. “I paid for my marble slab and everything that came with it, and I didn’t see the company for two months after that.”
“I promised for two months that my marble floor would be made to order and delivered,” he said.

Florida pool builder Nationwide Pools has been given an F rating by the Better Business Bureau. The Florida Pool Association suspended its membership because of the complaints, and the association has faced civil lawsuits from former customers and employees.
A Nationwide Pools customer said the company’s owner, Keith Stewart, has left hundreds of customers with built-in pools.
“Some people are waiting two years to build their pools. He doesn’t pay his suppliers. He owes money to contractors, subcontractors [money],” said the customer. “Essentially, they just collect money, go to a water level where they can increase the amount, and then they will not drain the pool of people.”
Nationwide Pools staff asked Local 10’s Roger Lohse to leave when he tried to talk to Stewart. Stewart was said to be out of town.
