How To Start A Party Supply Store – I know what you’re thinking. Wow, Leslie is at the restaurant. Yes…we tricked you. I’m in my basement! I am looking for a place to store party supplies.
One of my favorite things to do is entertain. I love the opportunity to make other people laugh, feel special and enjoy good food. On average, we have fun once a month. Well, that means I want to be included in the party. And a place to store all party supplies.
How To Start A Party Supply Store
Although we host many fun events, the biggest is our annual holiday party. Every year I prepare food for 200 people and we have been preparing this event for thirty years. So you can imagine that I have bought party supplies for several years.

Don’t panic If you’re just getting started, you don’t need to buy anything. But if you start entertaining regularly you may want to collect a few items that you can use over and over again.
The first thing I planted were wine glasses. The party supply store was out and I bought 100 of them. Ten cents each. (I would never buy that many, but I couldn’t resist! And we still use them all the time.)
I bought flowers from Mart. The smartest thing I did was buy a dozen of them. They were less than $5 each and I use them all the time.
As you can see on the top shelf, I have a lot of bandages, glasses, candles and water bottles. But believe me, there are many!

So where do I keep all my party clothes? On our lower ground. This room is a room that I do not share because it is incomplete and used for storage and laundry. (If you would have told me a month ago that I would be posting pictures of my basement on this blog I would have said you are crazy! California basements are tiny.
As you can see I have many vases, glass cups, candle-shades, jelly jars, shot glasses and many more. Please note, these photos do not include the dining room where I keep all the china, dishes, wine glasses and champagne glasses. and six linen drawers.
You may be wondering where I buy all of our party supplies. I have shopped online, thrift stores, flea markets, Craig’s List, and many other places. I am really good at buying ads I explained that I bought many of the wine glasses for sale and many other things from flea markets.
One of my favorite online stores for party supplies is Save-On-Crafts. I don’t know why it’s a big secret but they have everything and the prices are great.
Longtime Party Supply Store To Close
As you can see in the picture below, I have several soccer fields. My everyday drinking glasses are ball glasses and I also use them for dinner parties. I can also use it as a bandage and to hold fairy lights. I served the dessert in a bowl. I admit, I have a long way to go! But they are very cheap and fun to use at any dinner party.
I try to keep everything in plastic containers to keep my stuff clean. It makes such a difference.
So, am I an accountant? no it’s not and that’s because it’s all set up. It really is. Basically, I am fun. And over the years of hosting parties where I do everything (like the cooking, flowers, table settings, etc.) I’ve found that it’s much more cost effective to buy and reuse this stuff than to rent. .
The good news is I have to use this. All this. The bad news is that I didn’t take as many photos as I should have. Which means I have more party clothes than you see here. Products such as coffee pots, stools, stools, other stools, coffee mugs, sauce cups, mugs, glasses, and shot glasses. The list is endless.
