In this project, students analyze various aspects of international law, including those related to law, armed conflict, human rights, economic relations, territorial and maritime disputes, environmental disputes, and 21 century diplomatic theory and practice, including dispute resolution and conflict resolution. Students will also take skills development courses designed to support their careers and employability.

This course is designed for graduate students, diplomats, government officials, NGO representatives, international civil servants or private legal practitioners who wish to enhance their knowledge in the areas of international law, dispute settlement, international affairs management and diplomacy.

This unique UN-backed program is designed to give students hands-on experience in international law, international affairs and diplomacy.

Master Of Human Rights

The MA in International Law and Diplomacy (Hybrid) will be delivered partly at the UPEACE campus in San Jose, Costa Rica (first semester) and online (second, third and fourth semesters). All online courses are hosted in the UPEACE virtual learning environment.

Students spend 5 days in Geneva (Switzerland) or 5 days in The Hague (Netherlands). A five-day field trip costs $1,500. This fee does not include travel, accommodation, food or visa costs.
