In this section, the VM will be restored using a quick restore, which will restart the VM directly from the backup on the Synology NAS.
With Instant Restore in VMware, a restore wizard can be launched and the VM can be brought back to the latest state or restored.
Choose Immediate Restore, install the backup image directly on the target monitor and restart the VM.
In the summary step, check the information of the VM to be restored and click Restore.

Backing up a physical computer or server is easy, and the wizard walks you through it step-by-step. Windows 7 SP1 and above supports Windows Server 2008 R2 and above, and requires the installation of “Synology Active Backup for Business Agent”. Then, after the installation is complete, you will need to specify your hard drive’s IP/name and username/password.
