Pre-Sports Administration is a minor that provides the foundational learning required for the first two years of a sports administration degree. The program is transfer-based and ideal for a student who is considering university studies but wants to spend the first two years on a smaller university campus. The program is designed for students to earn an Associate in Arts and transfer to the College of Criminal Justice and Human Services (CECH) at the University of Cincinnati Uptown Campus.

The Sports Management course focuses on the business of the sports industry and is designed to meet the standards of the Sports Management Program Review Board. The sports management program provides graduates with the strong technical foundation and business skills necessary to successfully enter the field of sports management.
Liberal Arts Program
UC Blue Ash College faculty advisors assist students in selecting majors and planning programs and through the transfer process to other colleges.
An estimated five million people work in sports-related businesses. Students completing associate and bachelor’s degrees in sports management are prepared for a variety of management positions in professional sports, collegiate sports and high school sports management, as well as careers in sports organizations. Career opportunities for sports management graduates exist in the management of sports venues and events, management of health and fitness and recreation facilities, and working for top sports organizations.

Ever since he was young, Ludwig (Lud-Wig) Gonzalez dreamed of going to college to earn a business degree and become a successful entrepreneur. He does well with drive and desire to make his dreams come true.
“I’ve always wanted to go to college. That was my goal. Obstacles; it’s challenging but if you want something you have to go out and get it. I want to show my younger brother that he’s done a university degree, it’s possible and he can do it too. .
Ludwig is a first-generation college student who immigrated to America with his family at a young age, so finding the right skills while searching for a college was challenging and somewhat overwhelming. He found everything he needed at UC Blue Ash. “I’m paying my way through college, so I like the low tuition. I also love the campus and the people; it’s close to home and I want to be close to family.”

Ludwig, a young entrepreneur, started his own cleaning business and is looking to expand the business into other services while continuing his education at the University of Cincinnati Offtown Campus, where he plans to complete a bachelor’s degree from the Lindner College of Business.
While attending UC Blue Ash, Ludwig served as a student affairs leader, student ambassador, and truly enjoyed college life.
“The students, staff and faculty at UC Blue Ash are wonderful. Being an ambassador has allowed me to participate in many different activities and how I can make the college experience better for other students.” The University of Cincinnati supports the Jumpstart program. This is a business technology program that provides the broad knowledge base needed for entry-level business administration positions. A general business technology program prepares students for entry-level opportunities in business and industry. Graduates of this association’s program receive practical business degrees. This program offers two main pathways upon completion: earn your associate’s degree to further your career, or continue in a UC Blue Ashe technical area.
