I invite my peers and students who follow my path to always keep faith and remember that “Dreams do come true”. But only if you work for it.
Deciding to follow my dreams while away from my family was scary, but my mom encouraged me to follow my dreams and succeed. When I moved to West Haven, Connecticut in January 2021, I was very excited because it had always been my dream to study in the United States and I was finally making it happen.

I found it difficult to manage graduate school, internships, and assistantships. Learning and working on PowerBI projects played a big role in my internship as a BI analyst. In supply chain lectures, we had interesting interactions with colleagues and professors that resembled real business discussions.

I have always wanted to start my own company and become a leader in the defense and space industry. The business analytics program gave me the opportunity to gain theoretical and practical knowledge. One such practical opportunity was leading a project to understand the impact of international trade policy on business strategy.
Since coming to the US, I have had the opportunity to travel, visit different cities and experience different cultures. The diversity of the University of New Haven campus has given me a wonderful opportunity to make friends with international students from around the world. I was fortunate to be a Graduate Assistant (GA) in the Dean’s Office, where I learned a lot about administrative duties and assessment duties, as well as appreciating and respecting the different cultures of my peers and colleagues.
Living and studying in the United States, I got used to living independently, which was difficult at first. I had more freedom, but I was reminded that with that freedom came great responsibilities.
The University of New Haven Graduate Business Campus is housed in a former corporate office and provides an authentic workplace atmosphere and experience and is well equipped to meet the educational needs of students. The Pompeo College Business Dean, other faculty and staff, and my friends have made the University of New Haven my home away from home. Although these two years have been a great learning experience, I look forward to the next chapter of my journey.
