Gibbons said the county hopes to receive additional funding for a second round of grants to be awarded in December to businesses that missed that date.

Westchester County Launches $5 Million Business First Grant Program For Mwbes, Sdvobs & Dbes
WHITE PLAINS, NY – Westchester County is offering a new round of grants to small businesses and nonprofits facing challenges due to the coronavirus crisis.
The county received an additional $4 million in funding to support 175 eligible organizations in need of assistance. In addition, 20 of the county’s chambers of commerce applied and each received grants to be used for personnel and service operations.
Said County Executive George Latimer Because of the overwhelming acceptance of financial assistance, the county knew it had to expand the Business FIRST grant program.
“We are pleased to have been able to provide additional funding to assist small businesses and non-profit organizations and our Chamber of Commerce as we work together for a sustainable future,” he said.
